In Under Cover, a six-week study by John Bevere, you will explore a biblical understanding of authority and discover how your response to authority can deeply affect your spiritual growth, relationships, decisions, and ability to walk confidently with God. 

Authority can be one of the most challenging areas of the Christian life—especially when we disagree, feel misunderstood, or believe something is unfair. Yet Scripture reveals that learning to recognize and respond rightly to God’s authority is an important part of spiritual maturity. 

Throughout this study, you will be challenged to examine not only how you respond outwardly, but what is happening in your heart. You will learn to recognize attitudes that can quietly lead to resistance, offense, or rebellion and discover how trust, humility, and obedience can lead to greater freedom. 

As you work through Under Cover, you will be encouraged to: 

• Develop a deeper trust in God, even when you do not understand what He is doing.
• Recognize the difference between God’s authority and unhealthy control.
• Identify attitudes of offense, resistance, and rebellion before they take root. 
• Respond to difficult situations with greater wisdom, humility, and spiritual maturity. 
• Understand how God can work through authority to provide direction, protection, and growth.
• Become more confident in following Jesus when obedience is difficult.

This course is not simply about learning how to respond to leaders. It is about learning how to live surrendered to God. 

When we understand that God is ultimately the One who holds our lives, we can move from defensiveness to trust, from resistance to peace, and from simply reacting to circumstances to responding with spiritual maturity.
