BASIC

BASIC is a seven-part short film series inviting you to reclaim the simple, full, and beautiful journey that your lives are intended to be. This opportunity is a short 3–4-week commitment providing you the opportunity to watch videos and participate in engaging conversation that takes you from an intellectual knowing to a deeper application which can change your life. There is no homework, and everything is done in the classroom together with other participants.

This event will begin September 29th during 2nd service (11am-12:30pm) in the classrooms upstairs by the Fellowship Hall. Depending on how dialogue/conversation flows this could last between 3 & 4 weeks. There is no registration, and all are welcome to join. Simply show up. If you are not sure where to go, ask an usher who will be happy to direct you.

The content in the first 3 videos will lead you to think about who God is. We all have ideas about God, but those ideas are often formed more by our own experiences with the Christian life then by the way God describes Himself.

The content in the last 4 videos will lead you to think about what we do as a church and why we do those basic things. We all have ideas about what church should be and do, but those ideas are often formed more by our own experiences with the church than by what God says in the Bible about the church.

Our prayer is that you will see the Trinity and these four basic practices in a new light and that your life is changed as a result.
