Learn to Recognize God’s Voice, Discern His Heart, and Encourage Others 

God still speaks—and learning to recognize His voice is an important part of growing in relationship with Him. 

Moving in the Prophetic is a practical, Scripture-centered course designed to help believers better understand prophetic ministry and grow in their ability to recognize, discern, and respond to what the Holy Spirit may be communicating. 

This course is not simply about learning how to prophesy. Its deeper purpose is to help you become more attentive to God, more grounded in your identity in Christ, and better equipped to reflect His heart when ministering to others. 

Throughout the course, you will explore prophecy and the revelatory gifts—including words of knowledge, words of wisdom, prophecy, and discerning of spirits—and learn how these gifts function within the life of a believer and the local church. 

What Can You Expect to Gain? 

By the end of the course, you should have a stronger biblical foundation for understanding prophetic ministry and greater confidence in recognizing how God may be speaking. 

You will learn how to: 

• Recognize the different waysGod communicates and become more attentive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. 
• Understand prophecy and the revelatory giftsand how they are intended to strengthen and serve others. 
• Discern what you believe you are hearingrather than simply assuming every thought, impression, or revelation is from God. 
• Test prophetic words through Scripture, asking whether they build others up, agree with God’s Word, exalt Jesus, and produce good fruit.
• Grow in your identity in Christ and intimacy with the Holy Spirit, recognizing that prophetic ministry flows from relationship with God rather than simply from gifting.
• Minister from the character of Christ, allowing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to help shape how you respond to what you believe God is saying.
• Receive correction and accountability with humility, understanding that prophetic ministry is meant to function within healthy relationships and the life of the local church.

The goal is not simply to become someone who can give a prophetic word. It is to become someone who knows God more deeply, recognizes His heart more clearly, and can faithfully strengthen, encourage, and comfort others. 

Prophecy With Purpose 

Biblically, prophecy is not primarily about predicting the future. It is about communicating what God desires to say in a way that draws people toward Him and builds them up. 

Scripture teaches that prophetic ministry is intended for edification, encouragement, and comfort, and this course will help you approach it with both faith and responsibility. 

As you grow, the question becomes less: 

“Can I prophesy?” 

and increasingly: “Can I recognize the heart of God and faithfully communicate it in a way that brings life to someone else?” 

Is This Course for You? 

Moving in the Prophetic is for anyone who wants to grow in hearing God, understanding prophetic ministry, developing greater spiritual discernment, or learning how the Holy Spirit can work through believers to encourage others. 

It is also an important next step for those who sense a desire to serve in prophetic ministry at Windsor Christian Fellowship. 

Anyone interested in joining the Prophetic Ministry Team is required to complete Moving in the Prophetic before serving on the team. 

This requirement helps establish a shared biblical foundation, healthy accountability, understanding of prophetic protocol, and a common heart for ministering to people with humility, love, and integrity.
